Is this your family?

Parents and adult learners tell us these four things before they start. None of them is a reason to wait.

4worries1answer below
Apps cannot hear your child

“She’s used three apps and still can’t read Al-Fatiha properly.”

An app can play recitation. It can’t hear her. A teacher hears the ḥā she softens into hā, and fixes it in the moment.

Too much screen time?

“He’s been on screens all day. Do I really want another one?”

This one talks back. Thirty minutes face to face with a real person who knows his name, at a time you pick: 4:30 PM after school or 7:30 PM after dinner.

A woman teacher for your daughter

“I’d only feel comfortable with a woman teaching my daughter.”

Choose a female teacher. Girls and women can always learn with a sister, and cameras can stay off for adult learners.

Never too old to start

“I’m 38 and I still pray from a transliteration card.”

Nobody else is in the room. Your teacher starts at Alif if you need to, and never rushes you. Many adults start in their thirties and forties.

Every one of these has the same answer: one teacher, listening closely, using the way the Quran has always been passed on. ↓

How every class is taught

Learn it the way it reached us.

For fourteen centuries the Quran has passed from teacher to student, link by link. The Sanad Method™ turns that chain into five steps every class follows, and a second teacher checks the result each month.

  1. Revelation
  2. The Prophet ﷺ
  3. The Companions
  4. Generations of teachers
  5. Your teacher
  6. Your child
مَخَارِج
SoundEvery letter from its exact point in the mouth, before any word is read.By week 4: the first 14 letters, each from its correct makhraj.
تَلَقِّي
AbsorbThe teacher recites, the student repeats: the Quran received by ear.By week 6: a short surah with the teacher’s rhythm and pauses.
أَحْكَام
NavigateEach tajweed rule is met inside real ayat, never left as theory.By week 10: noon sakinah and qalqalah applied in new ayat.
مُرَاجَعَة
AnchorNew, recent and older lessons in every class: sabaq, sabqi, manzil.Every week: old lessons re-checked, so nothing slips away.
عَرْض
Deliver Monthly checkOnce a month the student recites to a second teacher.Every month: a Sanad Check result and a written next goal.

Why it works. Jibril reviewed the Quran with the Prophet ﷺ every Ramadan (Sahih al-Bukhari 4998), and research on spaced revision and recall explains why listening, repeating and reviewing still works best.

Who will teach you

Every teacher holds a real ijazah.

Each teacher recites the whole Quran to a sheikh before they're allowed to teach it, and their ijazah names every teacher back to the Prophet ﷺ.

Individual teacher profiles are on their way

We're finishing consent and verification for each teacher's name, ijazah chain and photo before we publish them here. In the meantime, message us and we'll hand-match you with a teacher who fits your age, language and schedule — usually within a day.

Our one-on-one classes cost $39 a month for 8 classes (Bidaya), $55 for 12 classes (Tilawa) or $129 for 20 longer classes with a senior ijazah teacher (Itqan). There is no registration fee and no contract, and siblings get 10–15% off. Prices are also shown in GBP, CAD and AUD.
Yes. The First Link is three free one-on-one classes in your first week, with the teacher matched to you. Class one is a level check and first lesson, class two builds real progress, and class three is a mini Sanad Check with a written plan. No card is needed.
Every teacher is a Hafiz, Alim or Alimah with formal tajweed training, and our senior teachers hold an ijazah: a licence to teach granted after reciting the whole Quran to a qualified sheikh. Each teacher’s chain of narration and certificate are shown on their profile.
Yes. Our teachers work across the clock, so you choose slots in your own time zone: after school, evenings, early mornings or weekends. Popular times are 4:30 to 8:00 PM on weekdays. You keep the same teacher and time every week, and can reschedule with notice.
Yes. Choose a female teacher when you book and you will only be matched with sisters. Women and girls can always learn with a female teacher, and adult learners can keep their camera off. Many mothers and daughters study with the same teacher.
Most children are ready at 4 or 5 years old. Lessons for young children are short and playful and start with Noorani Qaida. Your trial teacher will tell you honestly if your child is ready for regular classes, or whether waiting a few months would help.
A laptop, tablet or phone with a camera, headphones and a stable internet connection. Classes run on Zoom, and the Mushaf and Qaida pages are shared on screen, so there is nothing to buy. A quiet corner and a parent nearby for young children help most.
You can cancel any month with one message. On Tilawa or Itqan, if you cannot recite Surah Al-Fatiha correctly within 30 days, we refund your first month in full. Missed classes are rescheduled with 4 hours’ notice, and if a teacher misses one you get an extra class free.

The mark

A gold arc, cradling a point of light.

It isn't a crescent, a mosque or an open book — the symbols this category reaches for by default. It's a tutor's hand, guiding a student toward understanding, one patient lesson at a time.

Built from the navy and gold already across this site, and simple enough to still read clearly at the size of a browser tab.
