The Al-Fatiha Promise

Our 30-day refund promise, written out in full. These are the terms the pricing page refers to.

Last updated 30 October 2026
Draft — not yet in force

This page is a working draft and is not a binding policy yet. Sections marked in brackets need details only the academy can supply, and the page stays out of search engines until they are filled in and this notice is removed.

  • The refund processing window in “How the money comes back” ([NUMBER] working days)
  • The legal entity that issues refunds, once the Terms page names it

What the promise is

If you are on the Tilawa or Itqan plan and cannot recite Surah Al-Fatiha correctly after 30 days of classes, we refund your first month in full. No form, no interview, and no attempt to talk you out of it.

We offer it because the thing families are really risking when they pay an academy is not the money, it is another few months of their child not progressing. If we cannot teach you the opening surah of the Quran in a month, you should not be paying us for a second one.

Who it covers

  • Learners on the Tilawa plan ($55 a month) or the Itqan plan ($129 a month)
  • Within 30 days of your first paid class, not of signing up
  • One claim per learner

The Bidaya plan ($39 a month, 8 classes) is not covered. At two classes a week, 30 days is not enough contact time for the promise to be a fair test, and we would rather exclude it than make a promise we cannot stand behind.

What “correctly” means

Judged the same way your monthly Sanad Check is judged: Al-Fatiha recited from beginning to end with each letter from its correct makhraj, the obvious tajweed rules applied, and no errors that change the meaning.

It does not mean a perfect or beautiful recitation, and it is not assessed by the teacher who taught you. A second teacher hears it, which is the same independent check every student gets each month.

How to claim

  • Message us on WhatsApp or email within 30 days of your first paid class
  • Say that you are claiming the Al-Fatiha Promise — nothing more is required
  • We arrange one short recitation with a second teacher, usually within two working days
  • If the recitation is not correct, your first month is refunded in full

If you would rather not do the recitation check at all, tell us and we will refund the first month anyway. We are not going to hold someone to an exam they no longer want to sit.

The one condition

You need to have attended the classes. If more than two classes in the 30 days were missed without rescheduling, we will offer to extend the promise by another month rather than refund it, so the teacher gets a fair run at it.

Classes missed because of illness, travel or anything else you tell us about in advance do not count against this. Classes a teacher missed never count against you.

How the money comes back

The refund is the full amount of your first month, returned to the payment method you used. We do not deduct anything for classes already taught.

Refunds are processed within [NUMBER] working days of the check, though how quickly it appears depends on your bank or card provider.

This is separate from cancelling

You can cancel any month with one message, whether or not the promise applies to you. There is no contract, no notice period and no cancellation fee, and we do not ask for a reason.

Missed classes are rescheduled free with at least 4 hours’ notice. If a teacher misses a class, you get an extra class free.
