Terms of service

What you are agreeing to when you book a class — the trial, the plans, rescheduling, cancelling and refunds, in plain language.

Last updated 30 October 2026
Draft — not yet in force

This page is a working draft and is not a binding policy yet. Sections marked in brackets need details only the academy can supply, and the page stays out of search engines until they are filled in and this notice is removed.

  • Legal entity name and registered address
  • Governing law and jurisdiction
  • How many months existing students keep their price after a price change

Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS], trading as AllAboutQuran. Booking a class means you accept them.

If you are booking for a child, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian and that you accept these terms on their behalf. The account stays in your name.

The free trial

  • Your first three classes are free, one per learner, with no card required at booking
  • Nothing starts automatically after the trial — you choose a plan and pay only if you want to continue
  • If you do not continue, nothing is charged and no account stays open

Plans, prices and payment

  • Bidaya — $39 a month for 8 one-on-one classes of 30 minutes
  • Tilawa — $55 a month for 12 one-on-one classes of 30 minutes
  • Itqan — $129 a month for 20 one-on-one classes of 45 minutes
  • Plans are monthly and renew monthly until you cancel. There is no contract and no minimum term
  • Siblings receive 10–15% off from the second learner onward, billed together

Prices are shown in USD, GBP, CAD and AUD. Non-USD amounts are a conversion for your convenience and the exact figure taken may differ slightly with the rate on the day. If we change prices, existing students keep their current price for at least [NUMBER] months and are told in advance.

Classes, rescheduling and absence

  • You keep the same teacher and the same weekly time slot unless you ask to change
  • Classes can be rescheduled free with at least 4 hours’ notice
  • A class missed with less than 4 hours’ notice, with nobody attending, counts as taught
  • If a teacher misses or cancels a class, you receive an extra class free
  • Unused classes do not roll over month to month, as the slot is held for you whether or not it is used

Changing teacher

You can change teacher at any time, free, without giving a reason. We will not ask you to justify it and it will not affect your price or your slot.

Occasionally we may need to change your teacher — illness, a teacher leaving, or a timetable change. We will tell you in advance wherever possible and match the new teacher to the same requirements you originally set.

Cancelling

Cancel any month with one message on WhatsApp or by email. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and no form to complete.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. Classes already paid for in the current month remain available to you until the end of that month.

Separately, the Al-Fatiha Promise may entitle you to a full refund of your first month on the Tilawa and Itqan plans. See the Al-Fatiha Promise page for the full terms.

What we expect from each other

From us: a qualified, vetted teacher who arrives on time and prepared, honest reporting on progress, and a straight answer when you ask us something.

From you: reasonable notice when a class cannot happen, a quiet place for the learner to attend from, and courtesy toward the teacher.

We may end classes without refund in cases of abuse, harassment or discriminatory conduct toward a teacher. This has been rare, and we would always talk to you first unless the conduct makes that inappropriate.

Safeguarding

Our safeguarding commitments, how teachers are vetted, and how to report a concern are set out in full on the Safeguarding page. Those commitments form part of these terms.

Learning materials

Course materials we send you are included in your plan and are for the learner’s personal use. Please do not redistribute or sell them.

Anything a learner produces, and any recording of their classes, belongs to them and their family, not to us. We will not use it publicly without your written permission.

Our responsibility

We take responsibility for delivering the classes you have paid for to a professional standard. If we fail to, tell us and we will put it right, by re-teaching, crediting classes or refunding.

We are not responsible for interruptions caused by your own internet connection, device or power supply, though we will always reschedule a class disrupted that way.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction over any dispute.

If you are a consumer, this does not remove any protection you have under the law of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we will tell existing families by email or WhatsApp before the change applies, and update the date at the top of this page. Continuing with classes after that means accepting the new terms.
