Sabaq, sabqi and manzil every single class. Nothing is memorised and then abandoned.
A monthly Sanad Check that tests the old juz, not just this week's page, so you find weak spots early.
For a school-age student on 20 classes a month, 3 to 5 years is realistic. Adults with full-time work usually take longer. Anyone promising the whole Quran in a year is describing memorisation without revision, and that is the version that does not last.
Sabaq is the new portion you memorise this class. Sabqi is what you memorised recently, revised to keep it fresh. Manzil is older memorisation, cycled through on a schedule so it never fades. Every class has all three, which is what separates hifz that holds from hifz that is lost.
Yes, and it is the most common reason families come to us. The teacher starts by testing what is genuinely still there, rebuilds the weak portions, and then adds new memorisation only once the revision habit is running. Nothing new until the old is holding.
The difference is being heard. Every ayah you recite is listened to by someone qualified to correct it.
