Every rule named, heard, and used in a real ayah.

Tajweed taught as theory gets forgotten. Here every rule is named, then immediately heard and practised inside real ayat, until applying it stops being something you think about.

What this course actually gets youYou will stop reciting rules from a list and start hearing them in your own voice.

Every letter from its makhraj

Including the ones most readers never fix: ḍād, ẓāʾ, ṭāʾ, qāf, and the two types of hāʾ.

The rules as reflex, not recall

Noon sakinah, meem sakinah, qalqalah, the types of madd, applied automatically in ayat you have never read.

Recite with correct rhythm

Where to stop, where you must not, and why the Mushaf marks it that way.

What the road looks like

From your first class to fluent.

Real milestones from students on this course, not a marketing timeline. Your teacher gives you a specific estimate after the free level check.

  1. Week 1 A diagnostic recitation You recite; the teacher writes down every sound that needs work. Most students are surprised by two or three.
  2. Week 4 Makharij corrected The points of articulation fixed first, because no rule works on top of a wrong letter.
  3. Week 10 Noon and meem rules Izhar, idgham, iqlab and ikhfa, met inside ayat as they come, not memorised from a table.
  4. Month 4 The madd family All the lengthenings and their exact counts, practised until the timing is felt rather than counted.
  5. Month 6 Applied cold Reading an unfamiliar page with the rules holding, which is the only real test of tajweed.

This course is for you if…

  • You read the Quran fluently but have never studied tajweed formally
  • You know the rules in theory and cannot apply them while reciting
  • You are preparing for the ijazah track and need the foundations solid
  • Someone once told you a letter was wrong and you never found out which
Maybe not this one

Tajweed needs fluent reading underneath it. If you are still sounding out words, Quran reading with tajweed teaches both together at a gentler pace.

Questions about tajweed rules.

What is the difference between this and Quran reading with tajweed?

Quran reading with tajweed is reading practice with correction applied as you go. This course is the science itself: each rule named, explained and drilled in order. Most students do the reading course first and take this one when they want to understand why they are being corrected.

How long does it take to learn tajweed?

The core rules take about 6 months at 12 classes a month. Applying them without thinking takes longer, usually a year of consistent recitation. Teachers who quote less than that are describing the theory, not the fluency.

Do you teach qiraʾat other than Hafs?

Our standard teaching is Hafs ʿan ʿAsim, which is what most of the world recites. Shuʿbah is available with specific senior teachers. If you want another riwayah, message us and we will tell you honestly whether we have someone qualified rather than improvising.
